Connecting Theatre Artists with Career Opportunities

theatreWork.org is an online, interactive database that connects theatre professionals with employment opportunities that meet their specific skills and ambitions. Designed to accommodate every theatre discipline, theatreWork.org will be released in four distinct phases:

• Phase 1 gives actors the opportunity to upload in-depth profiles, and gives casting directors the chance to create production-specific folders to identify candidates and track progress;

• Phase 2 creates an online showcase for directors, choreographers, musical directors, and fight choreographers;

• Phase 3 gives designers in all disciplines—from sets to sound to props—the chance to upload their portfolios and detail their skills and interests;

• Phase 4 highlights production and administrative personnel—from stage hands to publicists to company managers.

Each phase relies on thoughtful, in-depth dialogue with leaders working in that discipline, and with those likely to do the hiring. These panels of professionals provide ongoing feedback on design and implementation.
